Rivian R1T Bed Dimensions & What Fits

The 1st Gen Rivian R1T (2022–) bed is about 54.2 in long inside, 51.1 in wide and 18.3 in deep, with 50.0 in between the wheel wells. Below: payload, a to-scale 3D model and what overland gear fits.

1st Gen R1T (2022–) Bed Dimensions

The 1st Gen R1T (2022–) bed measures about 54.2 in long, 51.1 in wide and 18.3 in deep, with 50.0 in between the wheel wells. Payload is about 1,764 lb (800 kg). The gear tunnel between the cab and the bed is not included in these numbers.

What Actually Fits

A realistic overland load against the R1T's 800 kg (1,764 lb) payload budget.

Sample overland build

Short and shallow, but wide. At 1377 mm (54.2 in) the R1T has the shortest bed in these guides — a touch shorter than the Maverick's — and at 465 mm (18.3 in) it's one of the shallowest. Between the wheel wells, though, there's about 1270 mm (50.0 in): as wide as a Ridgeline and wider than a Tacoma (1130 mm), so gear can sit side by side rather than end to end. Payload is a healthy 800 kg (1,764 lb).

    Algorithm Overland Kitchen Cube

The Algorithm Overland Kitchen Cube is a modular, aircraft-grade aluminum camp kitchen that packs down to a compact 12 × 12 × 12 in (305 mm) cube to live in your truck bed, and deploys on the tailgate.

In the Rivian R1T 1st Gen (2022–), the packed cube sits flat on the bed floor, uses only 305 mm of the 1377 mm floor length and leaves about 6.3 in (160 mm) of height below the bed rail — it fits the bed with room to spare.

    R1T Bed FAQ

What are the Rivian R1T bed dimensions?

The 1st-gen (2022–) bed measures about 1377 × 1298 × 465 mm (54.2 × 51.1 × 18.3 in), with roughly 1270 mm (50.0 in) of floor between the wheel wells. The gear tunnel is not included. Verify against your exact model year before buying gear.

How much can a Rivian R1T carry in the bed?

About 800 kg (1,764 lb) — including passengers and accessories, not just bed cargo. Check the door-jamb sticker.

Will a fridge and drawer system fit?

A fridge, yes — most 40–75 L fridges are 445–935 mm long against about 1377 mm (54.2 in) of floor, and drawer systems up to about 1270 mm wide fit between the wheel wells. The limit is depth: at 465 mm (18.3 in), a tall fridge on a slide stands above the bed rail.

Does the Algorithm Overland Kitchen Cube fit a Rivian R1T?

Yes — the 12-inch (305 mm) packed cube sits on the floor with about 160 mm (6.3 in) left below the bed rail.
