What Actually Fits

Payload isn't usually the limit — geometry is. Here's a realistic overland load against the DT Crew Cab · 5'7" (2019–)'s 907 kg (2,000 lb) payload budget.

    The real constraint is width, not weight. The 1500's flat floor is about 1410 mm (55.5 in) between the wheel arches and the arches rise ~200 mm (7.9 in) off the floor.
